Graphic intensive sites are horrible on mobile. I am a news junkie. And I like to check the latest news on my phone. But waiting for Facebook plugins to load, or ads to load just degrade the entire experience.
I had a really old computer and I used to browse the web with the lynx text browser in MS-DOS. Text news sites, like the old Excite news portal, were a god send. I was able read the AP wire and just get the news.
A while back I found a site that had a list of text only or news sites that looked really good on mobile. I am going to try to recreate it here. It will be a running list, so check back.
This used to be the blog for my now defunct Spanish rock podcast. The old episodes will still be available if you want to scroll down and check them out. I'll be changing the topic moving forward.

Radio R2 is back on the airwaves on the lookout for the undiscovered alternative music of Latin American. If you would like to hear your music on our show please don't hesitate to drop us an email.
I am going to be changing the format of the show a little bit to feature some of the "undiscovered" or independent talent from Latin America. So if you are in a band, or know of a band that really plays good music, send some mp3's my way. My email address is radior2@gmail.com. I don't really care what genre of latin music it is, ska, rock, metal, punk, electronia, you name it, I'll play it.
